In cooperation between Baghdad and Beirut.. The largest Captagon factory in the Beqaa has been dismantled

The Iraqi Ministry of Interior announced the success of a security and intelligence cooperation with Lebanon that resulted in the discovery and dismantling of one of the largest Captagon drug production factories in the Lebanese Beqaa region.
The ministry stated in a statement on its official page that accurate information provided by Iraqi agencies helped the Lebanese army carry out a wide operation in mid-July, which ended with the seizure of the factory and the thwarting of large quantities of narcotic materials that were prepared for manufacturing and promotion. The operation was described as the strongest blow against Captagon networks in the Middle East.
In an official letter addressed to the Iraqi Ministry of Interior, the General Directorate of State Security in Lebanon confirmed that this cooperation embodies the strength of relations between the two countries and highlights Iraq's pivotal role in confronting cross-border security threats, foremost among them drugs, which pose a growing danger to Arab societal security.
