Hundreds killed and injured due to heavy rains in Pakistan

The National Disaster Management Authority in Pakistan announced today that 104 people have died and 200 others have been injured due to the heavy rains that the country has witnessed since June 26th.
Pakistani channel (Samaa TV) quoted a spokesperson for the authority as saying: "The heavy seasonal rains and resulting floods have led to several accidents and extensive damage in various areas of Pakistan since June 26th," noting that 49 children, 37 men, and 18 women have died due to the severe weather conditions, and 413 houses and 9 bridges have been damaged.
It is worth mentioning that South Asia, which includes countries like Pakistan, experiences seasonal rains during this time of the year, usually resulting in devastating floods and widespread human and material losses.
