Hezbollah refuses to hand over its weapons and threatens the government: "We will not hand over a needle of our weapons"

Sharp statements have escalated from Hezbollah towards the Lebanese government, rejecting its recent decision to restrict weapons to the state, where MP from the party's bloc, Ihab Hamadeh, threatened the government, saying: "The people will bring it down and it will not last until the next elections."
This came during a party event last night, where Hamadeh described the government's decision as "a blow to the constitution", affirming that "the resistance will not hand over a needle of its weapon".
These statements come amid ongoing protests against the government decision for the fourth consecutive day in the southern suburbs of Beirut, where supporters of the party took to the streets condemning the decision and supporting their leadership's stance.
It is noteworthy that the Lebanese government had approved last week a clause stipulating the restriction of weapons to the state, and tasked the army with developing a plan to hand over Hezbollah's weapons, which is to be presented at the end of this month, with implementation expected by the end of the year (2025).
For its part, Hezbollah completely rejected the decision, considering it "non-existent", and insisting on holding onto its weapons.
