Heikal: Work is underway to remove Syria from the list of restricted countries

Syrian Minister of Communications and Technology Abdul Salam Heikal said today, Sunday, that the ministry is working with representatives of the U.S. government and technology companies there to implement the removal of Syria's name from the list of restricted countries.
In a post on the "X" platform, he stated that "the results of this work will appear in the coming days and weeks, and Google is the first company, and within days it will start making its paid and free services available gradually."
The Syrian government is seeking to mitigate the effects of the technical restrictions that were imposed on Syria, which deprived users within the country of access to a number of digital services and global applications.
