Hana Al-Zahid Reveals Details of Her Near-Drowning While Filming "Al-Shater"

Egyptian actress Hana Al-Zahid revealed that she experienced a serious accident that nearly cost her life while filming a scene for her new movie "Al-Shater", where she explained that she actually drowned due to the heavy weights that were tied to her underwater.


During her appearance on the program "Tafa'lukum" on Al-Arabiya channel, Al-Zahid recounted what happened, saying: "There was a scene underwater, and I had to float, but to stay in place, they tied weights to me, so I actually drowned."


She added: "People thought I was swimming, but in reality, I was drowning, and the weights were very heavy, and I couldn't get up by myself. They saw me coming up, but I was really dying."


Al-Zahid indicated that she felt extreme fear during the filming, which was confirmed by actor Mustafa Gharib, who said: "We were all scared of the scene, the only one who wasn't scared was Amir Karara."


For his part, Amir Karara commented on the situation, explaining that the presence of professional divers was sufficient to ensure safety, saying: "There was no need for concern, but Hana was feeling scared, and the weight of the iron was heavy for her."


It is worth mentioning that the movie "Al-Shater" is written by Ahmed El-Gendy and Karim Youssef, and directed by Ahmed El-Gendy, starring: Hana Al-Zahid, Amir Karara, Adel Karam, Mustafa Gharib, Ahmed Essam El-Sayed, in addition to guest stars, most notably actor Khaled El-Sawy.


The film revolves around action and comedy, where the hero goes through a series of dangerous and ironic adventures, in an attempt to escape from unexpected chases and crises.
