Hamas: Trump's accusations exonerate the criminal and hold the victim responsible

In response to U.S. President Donald Trump's statements that the quickest way to end the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is for Hamas to surrender and release its hostages, Hamas leader Ezzat al-Rashq condemned Trump's repetition of "Israeli claims and lies accusing Hamas of stealing and selling humanitarian aid in Gaza".
Al-Rashq also affirmed that "Trump's accusations are baseless and not supported by any evidence, and they exonerate the criminal while holding the victim responsible," adding: "These allegations have been refuted by reports and testimonies from international organizations, including the United Nations, as well as a recent internal investigation by the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), which confirmed that there are no reports or data indicating that Hamas has stolen aid."
Moreover, a member of Hamas's political bureau pointed out that "what is happening in Gaza in terms of systematic starvation and genocide is a direct result of the occupation policy supported by the U.S., which uses food and medicine as weapons of war against more than two million people."
