UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres' spokesperson condemned today Wednesday the Israeli airstrikes on Syria.

Guterres said: "We condemn the escalatory airstrikes carried out by Israel on Sweida, Daraa, and central Damascus".

Guterres called for an immediate cessation of all violations affecting Syria's sovereignty and territorial integrity and for respect for the 1974 Disengagement Agreement.
