Germany Agrees to Deliver 40 Eurofighter Typhoon Fighter Jets to Turkey in Defense Cooperation Deal

German government sources, according to "Spiegel" magazine, announced Berlin's approval to supply Turkey with 40 Eurofighter Typhoon fighter jets, following the approval of the German Federal Security Council on the deal.
This decision marks the culmination of ongoing negotiations between Turkey and European manufacturing partners to enhance the Turkish Air Force fleet with advanced fighters, as the Typhoon is considered one of the leading multi-role combat aircraft in Europe.
It is worth noting that the Eurofighter Typhoon is produced through a European industrial consortium comprising leading companies from Germany, Britain, Italy, and Spain, represented by Airbus, BAE Systems, and Leonardo.
This move is interpreted as a positive indicator of a breakthrough in defense relations between Berlin and Ankara, following a period of political tension that negatively impacted bilateral military cooperation, especially in the field of arms deals.
The Typhoon fighter stands out for its common European design and advanced technologies, making it one of the prominent combat aircraft in the world, designed to provide air superiority in modern battles, with precise ground attack capabilities.
According to experts, the Typhoon possesses advanced aviation electronics systems and a diverse weapons package that give it operational superiority on the battlefield.
