The American organization "World Kitchen", known for providing food aid in crisis areas, has announced the depletion of its food supplies in the Gaza Strip due to the ongoing Israeli blockade.
Over the past 18 months, the organization has provided over 130 million meals and 26 million loaves of bread, but it confirmed that its operations in the sector have completely stopped due to its inability to replenish its stocks because of restrictions on humanitarian aid entering Gaza.
Since the beginning of March 2025, Israel has imposed a comprehensive ban on any aid entering the sector, accusing Hamas of diverting humanitarian aid for military purposes and selling it to fund its activities.
Under this blockade, the people of Gaza are suffering from a severe food shortage, estimated at around two million people, at least half of whom are at risk of starvation.
Meanwhile, although aid trucks from Egypt, Jordan, and Israel are ready to cross the borders into Gaza, all these shipments are still detained due to not obtaining the necessary permits.
In addition, the organization "World Kitchen" continues to provide support by distributing drinking water to those in need, amidst the increasing humanitarian crisis in the sector.
Under these difficult circumstances, the organization's founder, Jose Andres, called for allowing the flow of humanitarian aid to Gaza to save the lives of civilians affected by the blockade and famine.
