Gaza on the brink of a health disaster.. 15,000 patients need urgent evacuation

The Director-General of the World Health Organization, Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus, warned of the serious deteriorating health situation in the Gaza Strip, confirming that more than 15,600 patients need urgent medical evacuation to receive specialized care outside the area.
Ghebreyesus explained that among these patients are at least 3,800 children who need life-saving care, reiterating his call to the international community to increase evacuation operations and facilitate the delivery of humanitarian aid, emphasizing that the continuation of the conflict threatens the lives of thousands of civilians.
The UN official confirmed that a ceasefire has become an urgent necessity to save lives and ensure access to medical services, calling for greater international cooperation to alleviate the suffering of the residents of the area.
In the same context, the Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that the death toll from the Israeli war since October 7, 2023, has risen to 62,622 dead and 157,673 injured, while hospitals recorded eight new deaths in the past twenty-four hours due to famine and malnutrition, including two children.
