Between kidnapping dolls and recruiting children... the practices of the "Revolutionary Youth" continue in areas controlled by the SDF.

Young woman Roshin Mustafa Ibrahim from the village of Kobrlk in the countryside of Ain al-Arab (Kobani) east of Aleppo was kidnapped from her home two days before her wedding by members of the "Revolutionary Youth" affiliated with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
According to "Sham Network" news, Roshin's family confirmed that the kidnappers targeted their daughter to forcibly recruit her into the Women's Protection Units (YPJ), sparking anger and condemnation in the region; the family continues to demand urgent intervention from authorities and human rights organizations for her release.
This incident is not the first of its kind, as reports of similar kidnapping operations carried out by the "Revolutionary Youth" linked ideologically to the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) are increasing. In a previous incident, the 15-year-old girl, Malak Kawa Abdou, was kidnapped near her school in Sheikh Maqsoud neighborhood in Aleppo, taken to training camps without informing her family, in a blatant violation of international laws.
The "Syrian Network for Human Rights" also documented the kidnapping of the child Fareeda Khalil Mohammed (born in 2009) on March 15, 2025, preventing her from communicating with her family, raising concerns about her being forced to participate in military activities.
Reports indicate the forced recruitment of more than 413 children in SDF camps.
Human rights activist Mahmoud Allo called for an end to these practices, considering the recruitment of children a serious violation of international law and a war crime.
