Foreign Minister: Germany will not accept Iran possessing nuclear weapons.

German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said today, Thursday, that his country will not accept Iran possessing nuclear weapons, during a press conference with his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani in Rome. Maas added: "Everyone wants to avoid any escalation. We will not stand idly by and watch Iran become armed with nuclear weapons. This must be clear in this situation." He also mentioned that he will travel to the Middle East tonight and visit Israel on Sunday to discuss the Iranian file.
