Maas added: "Everyone wants to avoid any escalation. We will not stand idly by and watch Iran become armed with nuclear weapons. This must be clear in this situation." He also mentioned that he will travel to the Middle East tonight and visit Israel on Sunday to discuss the Iranian file.
