Firefighting teams continue their efforts to extinguish the remaining fires in the western Hama countryside

The firefighting and civil defense teams continue their intensive operations to extinguish the remaining fires in the Al-Ghab area of the western Hama countryside, where the flames have been limited to three main hotspots after days of continuous work with the participation of local residents and supporting entities.
Tariq Al-Ramadan, the civil defense operations commander in the Hama countryside, confirmed in a special statement to SANA's correspondent that the teams are currently working to control the active fires in the villages of Nahr Al-Bared, Shat'ha, and Jourin, focusing on preventing their spread to neighboring areas. Al-Ramadan praised "the cooperation of the local community and its active role in supporting firefighting operations."
This comes after days of a series of forest fires in the area, which spread over large areas due to weather factors and difficult terrain, before the teams were able to control most of them and define their scope in three main points.
Dozens of field teams, supported by heavy machinery and helicopters, are working to extinguish the remaining hotspots, amid a state of continuous alert in anticipation of any sudden developments, especially given the current climatic conditions in the area.
