Financial Times: Putin Demands Ukraine Withdraw from Donetsk as a Condition to End the War

The "Financial Times" reported today, Saturday, that Russian President Vladimir Putin demanded Ukraine withdraw from the eastern Donetsk region as a condition to end the war, but informed his American counterpart Donald Trump of the possibility of freezing the rest of the front line if his main demands were met.
The newspaper quoted informed sources saying that Putin made this request during his meeting with Trump in Alaska on Friday.
Putin announced that he would freeze the front lines in the southern regions of Kherson and Zaporizhia in exchange for control over Donetsk, according to the newspaper.
Meanwhile, Trump said today, Saturday, that Ukraine must reach an agreement to end the war with Russia because "Russia is a very big power, and they (the Ukrainians) are not," following the summit with Putin.
