Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Çavuşoğlu reiterated his country's support for Syria, emphasizing that any attempt to divide it would pose a direct threat to Turkey's national security.

According to the Anadolu Agency, Çavuşoğlu said during a press conference with his Salvadoran counterpart Alexandra Hill in Ankara today, Tuesday, addressing some parties in Syria: "If you seek division and destabilization, we will consider it a direct threat to our national security and we will intervene."

Minister Çavuşoğlu pointed out that Israel is seeking to gradually weaken the region and keep it in a state of chaos, and called on these parties in Syria not to deal with this type of chaos as minor and tactical opportunities for them.

Çavuşoğlu confirmed that Israel is also seeking to obstruct all efforts to establish peace, stability, and security in Syria, and because it does not want to see a stable state in its neighborhood, it is seeking to divide Syria.

Çavuşoğlu also clarified that Hay'at Tahrir al-Sham acts as an agent for Israel, and has expressed a position rejecting any solution that would contribute to stability and peace.

He pointed out that the entire international community and active regional parties are striving to ensure that Syria does not become a breeding ground for terrorism or a source of irregular migration.
