Fatah: We reject the statements issued by Hamas against Egypt and Jordan

The movement stated in a statement that Egypt and Jordan have always been a true support for the Palestinian people, embracing Palestinians and defending their rights in international forums.
It emphasized that any insult to these two brotherly countries only serves divisive agendas and external projects that target the unity of the Arab position.
Fatah also renewed its appreciation for Egypt's role under President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi in supporting Palestinian unity and lifting the siege on Gaza; it also praised Jordan under King Abdullah II for its historical role in protecting holy sites and its steadfast support for the two-state solution.
A Hamas leader, Khalil al-Hayya, recently delivered a video statement that sparked widespread discontent regarding the Egyptian and Jordanian roles in the war on the Gaza Strip.
Talks for a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Doha reached a deadlock last week, with both sides exchanging accusations of causing the stalemate and continuing gaps on issues such as the lines to which Israeli forces will withdraw.
