Fake Vaccines and Financial Fraud.. The Dramatic Fall of the Founder of "Trump Burger"

The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement announced the arrest of a 55-year-old Jordanian citizen, who is one of the co-founders of the "Trump Burger" restaurant chain, just three weeks after the arrest of his business partner and the revocation of his green card.
U.S. authorities stated that the man, who used the alias "Eddie Hoi", had been issued a deportation order since 2009, but managed to remain in the United States illegally, accused of committing a series of violations that endangered the lives of Americans.
The man has a controversial criminal record, having been convicted of assault in 2000, before later becoming involved in a serious fraud scheme distributing fake flu vaccines in Texas, where he injected about 1,600 people with invalid doses. In 2007, he was convicted of healthcare fraud and drug label forgery.
Despite the end of his federal sentence, he evaded deportation for years and started a business with his wife named "Trump Café" in 2016 coinciding with Donald Trump's rise to the presidency. However, his first business attempt failed, and he returned in 2020 to open the "Trump Burger" restaurant chain with a Lebanese partner, which quickly spread.
However, the relationship between the partners later collapsed, leading to a legal dispute involving four lawsuits, including a fierce battle over the ownership of the "Trump Burger" trademark.
U.S. authorities confirmed that his recent arrest aims to end his illegal residency and prevent any new threat he may pose to society.
