Euphrates Mill Increases Production to Face Bread Crisis

With the efforts of local engineers and workers, the mill resumed operations with a production capacity of 60 tons of flour per day, after previously producing only 40 tons.
The first and second lines contribute an additional 20 tons, while the private Al-Sumaria Mill provides about 40 tons, bringing local production to 120 tons per day.
The city of Deir ez-Zor alone needs 100 tons daily, while the entire province's requirement reaches 220 tons. The gap still exists, necessitating the import of additional quantities from other provinces, especially since 85 bakeries in the province are still operating at full capacity.
The challenges do not end with the numbers, as transporting materials from neighboring provinces increases production costs. Nevertheless, the goal remains to achieve complete self-sufficiency, with the possibility of a fourth line being prepared that will increase production capacity in the future.
The revival of Euphrates Mill is not just an economic project, but a sign of hope returning to a community that has long suffered from the ravages of conflict and the lack of daily essentials.
