The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan reiterated his country's position towards Syria, emphasizing the refusal to allow its division under any pretext.

According to Anadolu Agency, Erdogan said in a press conference today after the Turkish government meeting: "Anyone who obstructs permanent peace and stability in Syria will find us and the Syrian government against them, and anyone who seeks to sow discord there will find themselves against Turkey."

In a related context, Erdogan continued: "The return of Syria to its pre-Assad regime collapse state is unlikely, and a new era has begun since that time."

He added: "We will not allow the division of Syria through the establishment of a terrorist corridor in its north... or any other corridors."
The Turkish President emphasized that with Syria's recovery and the achievement of stability and peace there, the entire region will be the winner.

Erdogan pointed out that his country's patience regarding Syria should not be tested, stating: "Instead of testing Turkey's patience regarding the Syrian issue, some parties should appreciate its friendship, adjust their discourse and policies accordingly, act as a state, not an organization."

He considered that every development, crisis, and problem in the Middle East region directly concerns Turkey and affects its economy and security.
