The Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and the French President Emmanuel Macron discussed in a phone call on Sunday the developments in Gaza and Ukraine.
According to a statement from the Turkish Presidency's communication department, President Erdogan emphasized that Turkey continues its efforts to end the war between Russia and Ukraine and ensure a fair and lasting peace.
President Erdogan added that as a country that has succeeded in bringing warring parties to the negotiating table several times, Turkey can contribute to peace talks, including by hosting them.
He also stressed the importance of initiating a negotiation process that does not exclude any party from the conflict.
President Erdogan confirmed to his French counterpart his country's rejection of any plan to relocate Palestinians from Gaza to Jordan, Egypt, or any other third country.
