The Ministry of Interior in the Kurdistan Regional Government of Iraq has denied the validity of reports claiming that a "drone attacked an Israeli site in Erbil last night."
A statement from the Ministry of Interior in the Kurdistan Regional Government said: "News has been circulated in some official Iranian electronic media outlets indicating that a drone carried out an attack last night on a 'site affiliated with Israel' in Erbil... We confirm that these reports are completely false and have no connection to reality."
The statement emphasized that "there are no Israeli bases or facilities in Kurdistan, and no such operation has been carried out."
The statement clarified that "what actually happened was the crash of a drone in a desert area near Erbil, believed to have been carried out by a group affiliated with the Popular Mobilization Forces with the aim of causing chaos."
The statement called on the relevant authorities in the federal government to put an end to these violations and take legal action against those involved.
