The maritime department personnel at the Syrian Oil Transport Company in Baniyas have started unloading a large domestic gas carrier carrying 4600 tons of gas, in a highly important step to ensure the local market's supply of domestic gas.
Engineer Ali Abdullah explained in a statement to SANA that these operations began after precise coordination with the relevant committees, in addition to conducting necessary inspections to ensure the gas meets the specifications set by the Ministry of Energy.
Abdullah noted that the carrier has been securely connected according to the highest safety standards, with the necessary hoses installed to pump the gas into the Baniyas gas tanks, reflecting the high level of coordination and readiness of the specialized technical staff in this field.
Abdullah added that this shipment is part of a series of supplies that started since the liberation of areas previously controlled by armed groups, mentioning that the number of carriers unloaded at the Baniyas terminal has reached 15 so far, enhancing the stability of domestic gas supply in the country and contributing to meeting citizens' needs regularly and safely.
This operation is a vital and ongoing step within the efforts of the Syrian government to improve and develop the energy sector, aiming to enhance security in the transportation and storage of domestic gas, thereby contributing to the stability of local markets and reducing the shortage of this vital substance that is an essential part of citizens' daily lives.
