Emirati Decree to Establish the "National Anti-Drug Agency"

In a qualitative step within the UAE's efforts to establish an integrated security, health, and social system to face challenges related to drugs, UAE President Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has approved a federal law decree to establish the "National Anti-Drug Agency," aimed at coordinating national efforts and enhancing mechanisms to combat the drug scourge and limit its spread.
The decree mandates the appointment of Sheikh Zayed bin Hamad bin Hamdan Al Nahyan as the head of the agency, to lead the next phase of unified national work in this field, within the framework of a comprehensive strategy to protect society, especially the youth, from this dangerous phenomenon.
