The director of the Emergency and Disaster Management Directorate in the Syrian coast, Abdul Kafi Kayal, stated today, Tuesday, that the teams on the ground succeeded in extinguishing several critical hotspots in Al-Falak village.
In a statement to SANA agency, Kayal confirmed that some families were evacuated to ensure their safety due to the possibility of fires rekindling due to unstable weather conditions.
He added: "It is not possible to determine the exact percentage of control at the moment, and field efforts are ongoing around the clock until the last burning hotspot is extinguished".
