A new survey conducted by the American University of Quinepiac shows that the majority of registered voters in the United States reject joining "America Party", which was recently announced by the American billionaire Elon Musk as an alternative to the Republican and Democratic parties.
The survey indicated that 77% of voters are not considering joining the new party, while only 17% said they are open to the idea or at least might consider it, as reported by the American newspaper "The Hill".
Elon Musk had announced the establishment of the party through his platform "X", affirming that "the people want a new party", and that "America Party" aims to restore freedom to the people, accusing the current American political system of corruption and extravagance, resembling one-party rule rather than true democracy.
This comes amid escalating tension between Musk and the current American President Donald Trump, as Musk, who was once close to the Republicans and part of Trump's administration in the first half of the year, has recently started openly criticizing him, especially regarding the Jeffrey Epstein case, where he posted 35 posts on the "X" platform accusing Trump of covering up files related to the case.
The survey also indicated a decline in Trump's popularity, with only 40% of voters expressing satisfaction with his performance, while 54% expressed dissatisfaction with his management style.
While Elon Musk continues his attempts to enter the American political scene through "America Party", it seems that the road will not be easy, given the widespread rejection and skepticism about the viability of the new party.
Will Musk succeed in changing the political equation, or will his experiment be added to the list of attempts that did not withstand the Republican and Democratic duopoly?
