Reuters reported today, Monday, that an official Egyptian source stated that the latest proposal for a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip includes a suspension of military operations for 60 days, and can be considered a way to reach a comprehensive agreement to end the ongoing Gaza war for nearly two years.

A Hamas official stated that the movement agreed to the proposal.

The source confirmed that the suspension of military operations will include the release of Palestinian prisoners in exchange for the release of half of the Israeli hostages held in Gaza.
