Regarding the names proposed to manage the Gaza Strip, Abdel Atty clarified that the existing understandings stipulate a temporary transitional framework within the Palestinian Authority.
The Egyptian minister pointed out that Cairo "faces many challenges and threats from all directions," adding: "We have institutions and we act as a state of institutions to contain those conflicts in this troubled region."
Abdel Atty confirmed that his country is conducting "intensive communications with international partners such as the United States, Russia, China, and the European Union to find a peaceful solution to these acute conflicts," stressing that "there is no military solution to them."
He mentioned that among the Egyptian constants is "not engaging in any alliances or polarization, and not interfering in the internal affairs of other countries."
