Egypt Recovers Stolen Artifacts from Britain and Germany After Seizing Them Illegally

Egypt has managed to recover a rare collection of artifacts that were smuggled out of the country, as the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities received 13 artifacts that were retrieved from the United Kingdom and Germany after intensive diplomatic and security efforts.
This step came after investigations proved that the artifacts were illegally exported through international smuggling networks. British police authorities in London seized 10 artifacts including a funerary plaque made of limestone dating back to the New Kingdom, in addition to funerary amulets, a beaded mask, and a bronze crown.
In Germany, local authorities in Hamburg collaborated with the Egyptian embassy to recover three other artifacts, including a skull and a mummified hand, along with the famous life amulet from ancient Egyptian heritage.
This operation is part of Egypt's strategy to track down and recover stolen artifacts, relying on local law and international agreements that prevent the illegal trade of cultural heritage.
Egyptian officials praised this international cooperation, affirming their determination to continue efforts to recover all smuggled artifacts, preserving Egypt's history and its ancient civilization.
