The Egyptian Future Sustainability Development Agency, the government's grain buyer, expects to receive wheat shipments from France and other European countries in the coming days and weeks as part of its efforts to enhance strategic reserves and diversify sources of supply.

Egypt, one of the world's largest wheat importers, is working to adapt to increasing geopolitical risks and supply instability from the Black Sea, especially from Ukraine and Russia.

The agency also expects one ship to arrive at the port of La Pallice in western France for loading on Saturday, and two other ships at the end of June and early July.
