Economic incentive in exchange for a deal: Ukrainian President Zelensky is trying to attract Trump.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky discussed a vast reserve of rare earth resources and other important minerals in an interview with Reuters on Friday, as part of a campaign to attract U.S. President Donald Trump to reach an agreement.
Trump, whose administration is pushing for a swift end to the Ukraine war with Russia, said on Monday that he wants Ukraine to supply the United States with rare earth resources and other minerals in exchange for financial support for its military efforts.
Zelensky said, "If we are talking about a deal, let's make a deal," emphasizing Ukraine's need for security guarantees from its allies as part of any settlement.
Trump also announced that he expects to meet with Zelensky next week, possibly in Washington.
