Ukraine Targets Saint Petersburg During Putin's Visit

Saint Petersburg usually hosts a large naval parade broadcasted on television to celebrate Navy Day, featuring the passage of a fleet of warships and military vessels in the Neva River, with Putin attending the celebration.
The official television reported that Russia suspected a Ukrainian plan last year to attack the military parade in the city.
The Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov confirmed on Sunday the cancellation of the military parade this year for security reasons, following initial reports of its cancellation earlier this month.
Putin arrived at the naval headquarters in the city on Sunday aboard a fast patrol boat, where he observed exercises involving over 150 ships and 15,000 military personnel in the Pacific Ocean, the Arctic Ocean, the Baltic Sea, and the Caspian Sea.
