Dozens of Suffocation Cases in Eastern Baghdad Due to 'Strange Smell'

An Iraqi security source said that 20 cases of suffocation were recorded inside several residential buildings in the area of the Tourist Street in eastern the capital Baghdad, as a result of inhaling a strange smell whose nature has not been identified yet.
According to the source, 'the affected individuals were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment,' indicating that 'the situation required specialized security teams to be directed to the area to investigate the source of the mysterious smell.'
So far, no official statements have been issued regarding the nature of the substance or the potential danger level, while preliminary information indicates that technical and security teams are working on collecting and analyzing samples to accurately determine its source.
