This crisis comes amid a critical phase of efforts to reach a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas."
The International Media Office of Qatar issued a statement in response to these reports, stating: "In response to the fabricated reports circulated in the Israeli media."
On Sunday, Israel's private "Channel 12" aired a report on what it called "Qatari documents" confirming Doha's role in "enhancing Hamas's military capabilities."
The statement mentioned that "fabricated documents were once again circulated in the Israeli media with the aim of causing tension and rifts in the relations between Qatar and the United States, during a critical phase of mediation efforts by Qatar to reach a ceasefire between Israel and Hamas."
It added, "The publication of these documents at this time is not random, but a deliberate attempt to divert attention from the negative media coverage of their irresponsible practices in Gaza - as revealed in reports over the past week - at a moment when efforts are nearing real progress."
