Doctors Without Borders Call for Halt to Humanitarian Foundation Gaza's Activities After Horrific Massacres
The United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres described the food aid distribution operation in Gaza, supported by the United States, as "inherently unsafe" and leading to the killing of civilians, emphasizing that "searching for food should not be a death sentence".
Guterres pointed out that humanitarian relief efforts are being stifled, with workers in the field suffering from hunger, and called on Israel as the occupying power to facilitate the passage of aid to the region.

In a significant development, Doctors Without Borders called for a halt to the activities of the "Humanitarian Foundation Gaza", supported by Israel and the United States, considering it responsible for "repeated massacres" and humiliating Palestinians by forcing them to choose between hunger and risking their lives to obtain minimal aid.
The organization explained that more than 500 people have been killed and around 4000 injured while attempting to reach distribution centers.

Doctors Without Borders affirmed that distribution sites are surrounded by strict Israeli checkpoints, where people are shot at whether they arrive early or late, hindering the access of women, children, the elderly, and the disabled to aid.

On the other hand, the Humanitarian Foundation Gaza denied any incidents at its centers, confirming the continued safe delivery of aid.
The crisis continues amidst a suffocating Israeli blockade, which prohibits the entry of foreign media and restricts the movement of local journalists, making independent verification of the situation on the ground difficult.

Doctors Without Borders also called for an immediate lifting of the blockade and a return to the aid coordination system led by the United Nations, to preserve the lives of thousands of civilians trapped in Gaza.
