Iraqi security sources have reported the arrival of warning messages from international entities to a number of politicians in the country, cautioning against targeting the international coalition forces and threatening a decisive response in case of any attacks.

According to security experts, "since last Saturday, a limited number of Iraqi politicians have received text messages on their personal numbers from international sources, warning them of the danger of any attacks that may target the international coalition forces in Iraq".

The messages received included direct phrases such as: "Warning to Iranian militias. Any attacks on the coalition forces will be met with a swift and decisive response", and others saying: "Iranian militias continue to endanger Iraqis.. Do not be puppets in Iran's hands".

These messages were also accompanied by a voice call conveying the same warnings, indicating a coordinated cyber attack, coinciding with the security operations witnessed in areas like Kirkuk, Baiji, Dohuk, and Sulaymaniyah".

Experts believe that amidst the geopolitical and security changes in the region, Iraq is facing sensitive and dangerous security and military developments, and the current escalation may push the country towards a more complex confrontational path, requiring extreme caution to avoid sliding into a broader conflict".

In recent days, Iraq has witnessed a series of simultaneous attacks believed to be carried out by drones amid regional tension and escalating internal unrest, prompting warnings of the possibility of expanding the targeting to include the international coalition forces.
