Frustration of a gang impersonating security forces in Homs and seizure of drugs and weapons

The Internal Security Directorate in Homs Governorate was able, today Saturday, to arrest a group of individuals involved in committing robbery and impersonating security personnel, following a series of reports regarding assaults on citizens.

The Homs Governorate mentioned through its official channel on Telegram that the Bab al-Sabaa Police Department arrested the gang members inside an abandoned building in the Karam al-Zeitoun neighborhood, where large quantities of drugs and weapons were seized.

• More than 1800 narcotic pills.
• Various materials including hashish and crystal.
• Weapons and ammunition used in the commission of crimes.
• Stolen items belonging to the victims of the operations.

Investigations revealed that the gang members were impersonating internal security personnel to carry out robberies, and legal measures have been organized against them in preparation for their referral to the competent judiciary.

This security operation reflects the vigilance of the relevant authorities in combating organized crime and enhancing security in residential neighborhoods.
