Members of the Syrian-American Coalition for Peace and Prosperity discussed today, Wednesday, with a team from the U.S. Embassy in Syria ways to cooperate to strengthen the vision of a stable, secure, and peaceful Syria.
In a post on the "X" platform, the coalition stated: "Members of the Syrian-American Coalition for Peace and Prosperity met with a team from the U.S. Embassy in Syria, where ideas were exchanged on ways to cooperate between the private sector, civil society, and the government to enhance the U.S. President's vision for a stable, secure, and peaceful Syria."
It added: "The coalition serves as a natural bridge between Syria and America in our joint efforts to support Syria's recovery and prosperity."
The Syrian-American Coalition also affirmed its commitment to continue dialogue with decision-makers in various U.S. states to ensure that U.S. policy reflects a path based on dignity, recovery, and inclusivity for the benefit of the Syrian people.
A few days ago, the coalition held a meeting with Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, during which the future of Syria was discussed, focusing on the need for full support for the bill introduced by Congressman Joe Wilson earlier to repeal the Caesar Act and the importance of reopening legitimate economic pathways to support Syria's recovery.
It is worth noting that the coalition is a non-profit organization registered in the United States, established last December, and seeks to build a sustainable partnership between the Syrian and American peoples based on shared values and mutual interests.
