According to the security official of Al-Qadamus region, Ali Mohammed Houria, two bodies were found in the village of Kaf Al-Jaa. As security forces headed to investigate the case, they were attacked by remnants of the ousted regime.
Houria stated: "Upon receiving information about the discovery of the bodies of the two young men, Hussein Abdullah and Ammar Al-Mir Ali from the Ismaili community, in the village of Kaf Al-Jaa, a security force was dispatched to investigate the incident. During the mission, the force was attacked by a group affiliated with the remnants of the defunct regime involved in the killing of the two young men."
He added: "During the clash, one member of the security forces was killed, while the security force managed to arrest one of the criminals and neutralize another, as the rest fled. Efforts are currently underway to pursue them, reaffirming our continuous commitment to pursue anyone who threatens the security and stability of the region until these groups involved in murder and destabilization are eradicated."
Since the fall of the defunct regime in Syria on December 8th of last year, the Syrian interior has witnessed a state of chaos and tensions caused by groups affiliated with the ousted regime, prompting the Syrian Interior Ministry to carry out several intensive security operations aimed at eliminating the sabotage groups that jeopardize the safety of residents and the security of the region.
