Diplomatic Insults .. Lavrov to Macron: I hope shame haunts you when you are alone at night

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov attacked French President Emmanuel Macron over his statements in which he likened Russia to a "predatory animal and cannibal," considering that these phrases lack political decorum.
Lavrov said in a television interview: "I hope Macron feels shame, even when he is alone at night because of these words. There are different people and different cultures, but I hope he himself feels discomfort and shame."
The Russian minister added that Western countries are coordinating with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky to disrupt the negotiation process proposed by Presidents Vladimir Putin and Donald Trump, stressing that Kyiv will not succeed in "erasing the problem of the ban on the Russian language and the Orthodox Church" within Ukraine.
For her part, Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova described Macron's recent statements about Putin as "base slander," pointing out that Moscow has called for a peaceful settlement through the Minsk agreements for years, while Paris has supported steps it described as "undermining security and stability."
