Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen directly criticized Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, considering that he has become "a problem in itself," and that Israel would find itself in a better position if he were not in power.
In an interview with the Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten, Frederiksen responded "yes" when asked if she believed Israel would be in a better situation without Netanyahu, adding that his current government "works against Israel's interests."
The Danish official confirmed that the international community is struggling to influence Israeli policies, considering that Netanyahu's government "exaggerates in its actions."
These statements come days after Netanyahu announced that Israel would seek full control over the Gaza Strip to establish a "security perimeter," while emphasizing that it does not plan to maintain direct control over the strip, but to hand it over to a new civil authority.
