Rescue operations continue to extract a young man trapped in a 60-meter deep artesian well in Aqaba.

The Civil Defense teams in Aqaba continue their efforts to rescue the young man Issa Saleh Mohammad Al-Ta'mat (37 years old), who has been trapped inside an artesian water well since last Monday afternoon while working on excavation, with his health condition still unclear.
According to statements from Mahmoud Al-Ta'mat, the young man's brother, to "Al Arabiya.net," Issa had gone to Aqaba to work for ten days before the family received news of his fall into the well, which is over 60 meters deep, due to soil collapse during excavation.
Mahmoud explained that the family received the news on Monday evening and immediately went to the site, describing it as an "unlicensed residential area for excavation, operated by an unlicensed entity," urging the authorities, "We want him back alive."
On his part, Aqaba Governor Khaled Al-Hajaj stated that all relevant authorities have been working at the site since the moment of the incident, mentioning that the rescue teams face significant difficulties due to the complex terrain and the well's depth. He also noted that excavation in the area is a "clear violation," confirming that "warnings were previously issued about its danger."
According to a security source, Civil Defense teams moved immediately upon receiving the report and started implementing a rescue plan using available technical equipment, amidst continuous efforts that have not ceased since then, despite no confirmed information about the young man's health status so far.
In a related context, the Al-Ta'mat family expressed gratitude for the official efforts made but requested enhanced technical support, the assistance of specialized engineering teams, and modern technologies, especially as hours pass without clear information, increasing the concern of his family and the residents of his village in Beit Yafa, Irbid Governorate, who are following the incident anxiously, praying for his safe return.
