"Commander of the SDF forces: "The war phase has ended, and today as Syrians, we will resolve all our differences through dialogue."

The commander of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), Mazloum Abdi, stated today, Friday: "We emphasize reaching an agreement with the transitional government on the necessity of neutralizing the Tishrin Dam from any military operations," and continued: "The dam's management will be civilian and return to its natural state, a Syrian national service institution."

Abdi added: "The resistance at Tishrin Dam has achieved its goals by ending combat operations and protecting national facilities. The war phase has ended, and today as Syrians, we will resolve all our disputes through dialogue."

Abdi concluded by saying: "We are engaging in positive discussions and understandings with the transitional government, and we will not allow troublemakers to disrupt the efforts of the Syrian-Syrian dialogue."

On the 12th of this month, the Syrian General Security Forces entered the Tishrin Dam, confirming that this step was taken in implementation of an agreement with the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF).
