The Syrian Civil Defense said today, Friday, that firefighting teams extinguished a forest fire that broke out in the forests of the town of Bmalka in the Tartus countryside.
It added via Telegram: "The fire spread to some neighboring agricultural lands, and the teams managed to control the fire spots and prevented its spread to wider areas and cooled the place."
The Civil Defense indicated that its teams also extinguished a fire in a car in front of the Marqab Castle in the village of Marqab in the countryside of Baniyas in Tartus Governorate.
The Syrian Civil Defense has been making significant efforts over several days to control the fires that broke out in various areas of the Syrian coast, in addition to fires in the Al-Ghab area in the western Hama countryside.
