Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi said today, Tuesday, that China is in contact with Iran, Israel, and the relevant parties and looks forward to seeing a "real ceasefire".

The Chinese Foreign Ministry quoted Wang as saying in a statement: "All parties should resume dialogue and return to the path of a political settlement of the Iranian nuclear issue."

He added that the Palestinian issue remains at the core of Middle East issues.
