Chinese Foreign Minister Calls for Opening More Communication Channels with the United States

The ministry said in a statement that Wang made these remarks during a meeting in Beijing with a delegation of American company representatives including executives from Goldman Sachs, Boeing, and Apple.
Wang was quoted as saying, "China is ready to enhance communication with the United States, avoid misunderstandings, manage disputes, and explore areas of cooperation."
His comments came a day after top Chinese and American negotiators concluded a new round of trade talks in Stockholm, during which the two sides agreed to seek an extension of the 90-day tariff truce reached in May.
Wang emphasized that Sino-U.S. relations are influenced by global developments and have a "profound impact" on the international arena.
He stated, "China and the United States must establish more communication and consultation channels, and look at each other objectively, rationally, and realistically," urging both countries to reject "unilateralism and bullying."
The ministry statement encouraged American companies to maintain their confidence in the Chinese market and welcomed them to continue investing in China.
A high-level delegation of American executives is visiting China this week, meeting with Chinese ministers of commerce and industry as well.
