The Ministry of Energy in the UAE reported on Wednesday, based on initial information, that the collision between two oil tankers in the Sea of Oman was the result of one of the ships making a poor navigation assessment.
The ministry statement mentioned, “Preliminary information regarding the accidental collision that occurred on Tuesday between two ships in the Sea of Oman, 24 nautical miles off the coast of the UAE, indicates that the incident resulted from a poor navigation assessment by one of the ships.”
