Cairo presses for a comprehensive settlement in Gaza and demands factions stay until the agreement is reached

Informed sources revealed today that the Egyptian authorities requested Hamas and the Palestinian factions to remain in Cairo and not leave until a comprehensive agreement is reached to end the crisis in the Gaza Strip.
The sources explained that the ongoing negotiations are discussing a number of proposals, the most prominent of which is the gradual release of detainees and a gradual Israeli withdrawal from the areas it has controlled within the strip.
They added that the current paper includes amendments to the last response submitted by Hamas, in an attempt to formulate a compromise solution that combines both partial and comprehensive solutions, with American guarantees to support any agreement reached.
This movement comes in the context of intensive regional and international efforts to stop the escalation, amid increasing expectations of the possibility of achieving progress in the coming days.
