British Foreign Secretary: Targeting of Israelis Waiting for Aid is "Disgusting"

British Foreign Secretary David Lammy said that the targeting of Israeli soldiers in the Gaza Strip against Palestinian civilians while they are waiting for aid is "disgusting," and he called on Tel Aviv to hold those involved accountable.
This comes in a lengthy interview with Minister Lammy published by the British Guardian newspaper today, Saturday, which focused on the most pressing issues in the minister's work a year after he took over the leadership of the Foreign Office in July 2024.
The newspaper reported Minister Lammy's statements regarding the situation in Gaza, where he described the shooting at civilians waiting for aid as "appalling and disgusting."
Lammy called on Israel to "hold accountable" those involved in targeting aid seekers.
The Guardian mentioned that the British Foreign Secretary said that the situation in the Gaza Strip is "desperate for the people on the ground (Palestinians), and for the hostages (Israelis) in Gaza."
He explained that "the world longs for a ceasefire and for an end to the suffering" in the Palestinian territory.
The newspaper noted that Lammy expressed his desire to go to Gaza "as soon as possible," without providing further details.
