Britain announces its largest military support package for Ukraine, including 100,000 drones.

The United Kingdom announced today, Wednesday, June 4, its commitment to provide 100,000 drones to Ukraine by the end of the current fiscal year in April 2026, in a move described as a "quantum leap" in its military support to Kyiv, where the quantity will be increased tenfold from what was previously provided. The decision came after London confirmed that "drones have changed the strategies of warfare."
The British government explained that these drones, valued at 350 million pounds (473 million dollars), are part of a broader support package worth 4.5 billion pounds, details of which will be announced during the "Defence Communications Group for Ukraine" meeting in Brussels, with the participation of 50 countries, and jointly hosted by Germany.
British Defense Minister John Healey is expected to announce this step during the meeting, stating in a previous statement: "Britain is intensifying its support for Ukraine by delivering hundreds of thousands of drones this year and completing a significant achievement in delivering critically important artillery ammunition."
In addition to the drones, London revealed that it has completed the shipment of 140,000 artillery shells to Ukraine since last January, and allocated 247 million pounds for training Ukrainian forces during the current year, as part of its efforts to enhance Ukrainian military capabilities.
