His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, met with Yair Lapid, the leader of the opposition in Israel.

Bin Zayed welcomed the Israeli opposition leader, and during the meeting held in Abu Dhabi, they discussed the advanced bilateral relations between the two countries.

The two sides also discussed the overall regional developments and updates in the Middle East, as well as the international community's efforts to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip.

His Highness Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan affirmed, during the meeting, the UAE's support for the international community's efforts to reach a ceasefire in Gaza, release all hostages, avoid the expansion of the conflict in the region.

He also emphasized the importance of supporting efforts to enhance the response to the escalating humanitarian crisis in the sector, and providing mechanisms that allow aid to flow to civilians safely, sustainably, and without obstacles.
